  • Patrick Dromgoole, who was elected as ISC Treasurer at the last A.G.M., was finally notified in mid-April by the NatWest bank that they had approved his mandate to take charge of the ISC bank account, since when he has been taking over the Treasurer’s duties from our previous Treasurer, Terry Hare-Walker


  • India Post issue no. 238 has been delivered to ISC members and copies of issue no. 239 have been dispatched. The Editor, Deepak Jaiswal, is now working on issue no. 240, for which he is asking for material. Current ISC members may download issues of India Post from the ISC Website.


  • Two volumes of Series 3 of the ISC Handbook have now been published, Volume 1, “The Origins of Mail by Rail in India 1860-1880” by Chris Bartlett and Volume 2, “The Sacred Cow Issues of Bundi”, a revision of the late Ray Benns’ Handbook by John Warren. These are now available from Amazon Print-on-Demand. However, Amazon does not operate a print-on-demand service in India and so any book ordered from them in India would need to be imported, incurring a considerable extra cost. Therefore, Madhukar Jhingan, who prints and distributes India Post, has agreed to print and distribute copies of the Handbooks for ISC members in India


  • The fourth ‘open’ Zoom Display meeting of 2026 was held on Saturday the 25th of April (attended by 24 members) and the fifth on Saturday the 6th of June, (attended by 28 members). The next meeting has been scheduled for Saturday the 25th of July


  • BOSTON 2026 World Expo. was held from the 23rd to the 30th of May 2026 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and was very successful for ISC exhibitors, with 20 members receiving a total of 30 medals and awards. The ISC Program Secretary, Sandeep Jaiswal, organized a meeting that was broadcast on Zoom, presentations by members at their respective frames and a dinner at a local Indian Restaurant, afterwards


  • 2026 NAPEX (National Philatelic Exhibition) will be taking place in McLean, Virginia, US from August the 28th to the 30th. Information may be obtained by contacting John Warren at jw-kbw@earthlink.net
